Acceptance

By accessing or using Need a Calc, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

Need a Calc helps creators turn natural-language calculation rules into isolated, deterministic Code Capsules, test and revise those rules, and publish a link that others can use. The service may include AI-generated suggestions, version history, public pages, and usage verification.

The current MVP is provided without paid plans. Features, limits, availability, and future pricing may change. Any future paid terms will be presented before a charge is made.

Accounts

Some features, including saving and publishing, require an account. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials, and activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Creator Responsibility

You are responsible for the calculators you create and publish. Before publishing, you must review the inputs, formulas, conditions, units, assumptions, tests, explanations, and applicable limitations. AI-generated content can be incomplete or incorrect; a successful generated test does not replace professional review or real-world validation.

Do not present a calculator as professional medical, legal, tax, financial, engineering, safety, or other regulated advice unless it has been reviewed and maintained by a qualified person and includes disclosures required by law.

Published Calculators

Published calculators receive a stable public link and may be used without signing in. Public pages start with noindex; publication does not guarantee search indexing, promotion, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. If you change a calculator, the service preserves version records according to the product's current behavior.

Acceptable Use

You must not use Need a Calc to:

• Violate laws, regulations, contractual duties, or another person's rights.
• Create deceptive, discriminatory, exploitative, or unsafe calculators.
• Collect unnecessary sensitive information or misrepresent how information is handled.
• Probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, limits, security, the constrained runtime, or service availability.
• Upload or transmit malware, spam, secrets you are not authorized to share, or unlawful content.
• Impersonate another person or falsely claim endorsement, certification, or guaranteed accuracy.

Your Content and License

You retain rights you hold in your prompts, calculator definitions, text, and other content. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to make calculators available according to your publication choices.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit and publish your content.

Service Changes and Enforcement

We may change, limit, suspend, unpublish, or discontinue features. We may restrict or terminate access, or remove calculators, when reasonably necessary to address violations, security risks, legal requirements, harm, or service integrity. Where practical, we will provide notice.

Disclaimers

Need a Calc and calculators published through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You must independently verify results before relying on them.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Need a Calc and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss caused by reliance on a calculator result, lost data, interrupted service, or unauthorized access.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
